And another food blog
🎉 whoop whoop 🎉
About time I actually visited @GelatoVillage. It’s had too many Instagram drools by me to have not visited it yet. But a visit to town with my friends called for one. So after a good shop around, off we went to Gelato Village!!! 😝😝
What I really do love about this place is that you can pick any size of cup or cone and still get up to THREE Gelato servings. Isn’t that great, especially when you can decide on which flavour you want to go for!
We were served by Conista Luca. A jolly man indeed, smiled and gave us great customer service. He even helped me decide on what to get because I #simply couldn’t decide 🙈
Simran went for the waffle with the chocolate brownie gelato and salted caramel gelato. As I mentioned in my previous blog, I tend not to go for waffles because I’m really picky on the texture of it. Some taste too hard and some “commercialised” – if you get what I mean. But I had a nibble of this and it was really nice! It was nice and soft, but crispy on the outside. Oooh it was really nice. I’ll deffo order one on my next visit soon!
Before I go onto the Gelatos, here’s a quick definition I stole from thekitchn.com on the difference between your regular ice-cream and a Gelato
Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream. It starts out with a similar custard base as ice cream, but has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). It is churned at a much slower rate, incorporating less air and leaving the gelato denser than ice cream.
and @GelatoVillage say it themselves
Our Gelato is freshly made in-store every day, using only real and natural ingredients. Our Gelato is churned slower than ordinary ice-cream, making it richer, smoother and with a creamier texture.
On to the Gelatos now…
The Salted Caramel One
The caramel was rather salty but the perfect salty for the gelato, as it balanced really well. A really strong caramel flavour which I just lovedddd! ❤

The Chocolate Brownie One
oooohhhhh how I loved this one!!! It wasn’t too chocolatey, which is good because then it just gets sicky, especially because Gelatos are denser than ice-cream, which makes it more sicky. When picking ice-cream, I always pick chocolate. It is the safest but tastiest option too! This Gelato had brownie pieces too. Soft, rich brownie pieces. I love it when ice-creams (and in this case Gelato) has bits in it. It just gives it a better texture and flavour to it.
I’m so glad this Gelato is here to stay 😝
~ we all picked this one! ~
Not something I wanted to pick. It looked too fruity for me. This one was a rose blossom and forest fruit Gelato. I do love a good fruit here and there but its not my kinda thing. I had a taste of this one though and it was nice. I quite liked the rose blossom influence in the taste. The forest fruit bit was nice too, I could taste a bit of the sourness at the back of my mouth towards the end. Aliyah really liked this one though ☺

The Coffee One
Praise The Lord!!! *having a Precious Little (from Come Fly With Me) moment*
This Gelato was so spot on!!! I loved it!! It had a good coffee flavour that wasn’t too empowering. It was just too good! Errmm can someone get me one now please!
Throwback to when I was in Venice when I tried a Gelato for the first time! I picked the coffee one and YES this Gelato really does taste like the one I had down in Italy.
You Win GelatoVillage! ❤❤❤

^^ that’s what Sage is in case y’all wondering cuz I was too! 😂
I wouldn’t have gone for this luscious Gelato if it wasn’t for Conista Luca. When I asked for some recommendations on which Gelato to get for myself, this is one that he recommended to me! Oh how much I thank him for this.
It was sweet, lemony and just too lushhh! It had zesty bits in it too, which I really do like.

The most important part of the whole visit. And it was great! Conista Luca was one of the happiest staff I’ve ever met and has a great taste too! He helped me pick my absolutely delicious Gelato ‘palette’ after all!
Ooh and he quite like my henna too! – great communication! Thanks Conista Luca, hope to see you real soon!
Completely forgot to take pictures of the simple but beautiful interior. I love the fact that it has massive windows, makes it feel more like an open space.
